The very anticipated First Watch Cafe is opening its doors in early 2019. This breakfast and lunch restaurant is on West Reynolds Road in front of Target. This will be the fourth First Watch location in Lexington, KY. Other locations are on War Admiral Way in Hamburg, on South Broadway near UK’s campus, and off Richmond Road and Man o’ War.
Outback Steakhouse is moving to Fayette Mall. It will take over the former Oak Spring Grill location — which was Abuelo’s before that. When the Fayette Mall location opens in winter 2019-20, the company said it will close the Tiverton Way location.
One Holland Corporation has purchased the former Hunan Chinese restaurant on Southland Dr. The company plans to open a second location of LaRosa’s Pizzeria. The first Lexington LaRosa’s will open on Richmond Road in early 2019, however, the Southland location will only focus on takeout/delivery services (no opening date set).
