Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) has just announced their new boys basketball coach and assistant Athletic Director. Who is it? What is his/her background?

Long-time assistant boys basketball coach, Ted Hall, has been promoted to head coach and Assistant Athletic Director. He will be replacing Nate Valentine who decided to resign last month to go back to his hometown and become the North Laurel High School head coach.

Hall has been the Eagles’ assistant coach for six years, with five being under Valentine. He had been serving as the physical education teacher at LCA.

“Although it is very tough to say goodbye to Coach Valentine, I am very excited to announce the promotion of Ted Hall, another great man of faith,” stated Terry Johnson, Director of Athletics. “Coach Hall is an excellent basketball coach who has been an integral part of our success on the court, who will continue to pour into our players both as a basketball coach and spiritually.”

Hall started his coaching career at local high school Lafayette from 1997-2000 as the assistant to head coach Don Adkins. After leaving Lafayette, he spent eight years as the assistant to Gene Kirk at Sayre. He would later become the head coach at Sayre from 2008-2013 before going to LCA as the assistant head coach.

“I am very excited to be named the next boys basketball coach at LCA,” stated Coach Hall. “I appreciate the opportunities Coach Valentine and the school have given me and I look forward to leading our efforts to not only continue our success on the court, but to help mold our young men in the image of Christ.”

Since Hall’s start at LCA, the program has had many successes on the court:
