Executives and franchise owners gathered around the plot of land located near Hobby Lobby for the official ground breaking and traditional saucing dropping ceremony for LaRosa’s Family Pizzeria and Skyline Chili. With their recent opening on Richmond Road, the company witnessed the excitement from Lexingtonians and saw the potential to expand into the surrounding areas.

LaRosa’s and Skyline are such a great combination for our guests. The response in Lexington has been tremendous and now we’re going to plant roots in Nicholasville and become a part of their community,” said Gary Holland, CEO of One Holland, franchise owner of the Lexington and Nicholasville Skyline and LaRosa’s. “This is an exciting time for Skyline and LaRosa’s. From our record-breaking sales on Richmond Road to our new partnership with University of Kentucky Athletics, we feel blessed to be here. Even more exciting, is that Skyline, the Official Chili of UK Athletics, will be served this football season at Kroger Field and in Rupp Arena as well. Skyline and First Watch are also the title sponsors for the season opener football game, when UK beats Toledo. Go Cats!

The LaRosa’s location will be 5,500 sqft and will include dine-in, pick-up, and delivery. It can seat up to 160 guests in the dining room and will feature a full-service bar and a “Buddy Room” for parties and events.

Skyline Chili will have a 2,700 sqft facility and will include a drive-thru window and a traditional dine-in restaurant. Can seat up to 96 guests.

The expected opening for LaRosa’s/Skyline is winter 2019-2020 and they plan to have a Nicholasville Neighborhood Block Party in October at the site for both restaurants. They are wanting to welcome the community and create excitement for the new restaurants. There will be complimentary LaRosa’s cheese pizza slices and Skyline Cheese Coneys.

After the ceremonial ribbon cut and pizza sauce pour, the family showcased its commitment to the local community with a $ 1,000 contribution to the Hope Center. This Kentucky-based organization’s mission focuses on care for those who are homeless and those at-risk by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services. LaRosa’s and Skyline franchisee One Holland has a strong heritage of community engagement and looks forward to deepening its relationship with the Hope Center in the Central Kentucky area.
