Baptist Health Lexington opens new heart care facilities

Baptist Health Lexington recently expanded its facilities and opened a new cardiology space at its Nicholasville Road campus.

The previous office included about 160,000 square feet of space and 20 rooms. The new space, which is located on the fourth floor of the 1720 building, features 33 exam rooms with close to 27,000 square feet.

What is unique to the new workspace is the dedicated clinics for both general and interventional cardiology as well as electrophysiology. Larger doors were installed to better accommodate wheelchairs and power chairs while lobbies, patient exam rooms, and hallways are more open and spacious.

“In Kentucky there is a critical need for quality heart care at a hospital that can offer advanced diagnostic testing, treatments and cardiac rehab,” said electrophysiologist Dr. Gery Tomassoni. “Our new facilities will allow us to continue our work to coordinate care and improve health in our community.”

Baptist Health is located at 1740 Nicholasville Road.
